Mandarin orange is a citrus fruit which originated from China, but today is most frequently grown and harvested in the Mediterranean region. Tangerine is a tangy fruit which resembles an orange. It has a deep orange colored peel and doesn’t have a pit. Tangerine essential oil is extracted from the peel of the fruit using the method of cold compression. Mandarin oranges are little segments of bright citrus flavor suitable for salads, vegetables, main dishes and, of course, desserts.
